How Much Does a Manicure Cost in Dubai in 2026

Real Dubai manicure prices in 2026 — from 40 AED budget studios to 800 AED luxury hotel spas. What you actually pay for at each tier and where the sweet spot is.

Published 25 May 2026 · Prices · Manicure

Manicure prices in Dubai range from 40 AED at neighbourhood studios to 800 AED at five-star hotel spas — a 20× spread. The catch is that the difference between the best and the median is rarely 20× in quality.

This is the 2026 price reality based on our survey of 60+ Dubai salons across Downtown, JBR, Marina, Business Bay, and Jumeirah neighbourhoods.

The five price tiers in Dubai

Tier 1: Budget studios — 40-80 AED

Found in Karama, Satwa, Discovery Gardens, IMPZ. Usually a single technician, 20-30 minute appointment, classic wet manicure with regular polish. Hygiene varies — some are excellent, some reuse tools. Gel polish at this tier rarely lasts more than 5-7 days because the cuticle prep is rushed.

Who it’s for: Local residents who want a quick polish change between proper salon visits. Not recommended for tourists or anyone who needs the manicure to last.

Tier 2: Mid-market Russian/CIS salons — 100-150 AED

The sweet spot for value. Found in Downtown, Trade Centre, JLT, Business Bay. CIS-trained masters, 45-75 minute appointment, gelish polish with hardware or hybrid technique. Wear time 14-25 days depending on the master and your aftercare.

This is the tier where you find genuine Russian hardware manicure at honest prices. Matryoshka sits here — gelish manicure is 125 AED, 60-75 minutes, lasts 21-25 days. Most professional Dubai residents book at this tier weekly or fortnightly.

Who it’s for: Anyone who wants the manicure to actually hold for 2-3 weeks without paying 5-star prices.

Tier 3: Boutique / chain branded salons — 180-280 AED

Bliss, Nail Sense, OPI Dubai. Modern interiors, branded products, polite English service, English-language reception. Quality is fine but the price premium goes to the location rent and the brand name, not necessarily the technique. Wear time 10-15 days.

Who it’s for: Expats who prioritise predictable Western-style service experience and don’t mind paying 50-100 AED above the actual cost of the manicure.

Tier 4: Hotel spa salons — 350-500 AED

Found in the spas of Atlantis, Burj Al Arab, JW Marriott, Mandarin Oriental, Address Hotels. Lovely facilities, robe-and-slippers experience, often 60-90 minute appointment. The manicure itself is usually good but not better than Tier 2. The premium is for the spa experience around it.

Who it’s for: Tourists staying at the hotel, or as a self-care experience day. Not the place to come for regular maintenance.

Tier 5: Luxury / celebrity salons — 600-800+ AED

Margaret Dabbs, La Prairie Spa, Talise (Jumeirah). Niche service, often with foot reflexology and luxury aftercare products included. Often includes hand massage with high-end serums. Quality is excellent but you’re paying for the brand mystique.

Who it’s for: Special occasions, bridal preparation, or if money is genuinely no object.

What you actually pay for at each tier

The 700 AED price spread between Tier 1 and Tier 5 breaks down roughly:

  • 40 AED: raw cost of polish + technician time + basic location rent
  • +50 AED (Tier 2): trained master with hardware skill, better polish brands, longer appointment
  • +100 AED (Tier 3): branded products, English service, modern interior
  • +200 AED (Tier 4): hotel location, spa robe & slippers, post-treatment refreshments
  • +300 AED (Tier 5): luxury brand premium, niche service, celebrity association

The quality of the actual manicure — how clean the cuticle, how even the polish, how long it lasts — plateaus at Tier 2 for most clients. Tiers 3-5 add experience and brand, not better nails.

The smart booking strategy

For most Dubai residents, the best strategy is:

  • Weekly maintenance: Tier 2 mid-market Russian salon (Matryoshka and similar)
  • Special events: Tier 4 hotel spa for the experience, or Tier 2 with 3D design add-on
  • Tourist single visit: Tier 2 if you want the manicure to last your stay; Tier 4 if it’s about the experience

The 6-Hand Combo Package (manicure + pedicure + lash extension simultaneously by 3 technicians in 90 minutes for 400 AED) is the standout value in Downtown Dubai — equivalent à la carte cost at hotel spas would be 1,200+ AED.

Cost per month if you maintain regularly

At Tier 2 (125 AED gelish, 21-25 day wear), you’ll book 14-17 times per year. Annual cost: 2,000 AED.

At Tier 1 (60 AED classic, 5-7 day wear), you’ll book 52 times per year. Annual cost: 3,120 AED. Tier 1 is more expensive over a year because the polish doesn’t hold.

At Tier 4 (400 AED hotel spa, 14 day wear), you’ll book 26 times per year. Annual cost: 10,400 AED.

Tier 2 wins on annual cost-per-day-of-perfect-nails. That’s why it’s where most Dubai residents settle.

When prices include and exclude what

Watch the fine print:

  • “From 100 AED” usually means classic polish, not gelish
  • “Gelish from 125 AED” usually includes prep, polish, top — but ask about removal of your previous set (sometimes +25 AED)
  • “Full set” extensions almost never include the gel polish color (separate 25-50 AED)
  • “Russian manicure” should not cost more than gelish at the same salon — if it does, ask why

Hidden costs the price card does not show

Salon menus in Dubai are rarely complete. These are the extras you may face that don’t appear on the front page.

Removal of someone else’s gel polish. If you walk in with gel on your nails from another salon, most places charge 25-50 AED for removal before the new application. A few will waive it if you book the next set immediately — always ask.

French tip surcharge. A “French” finish on gel is often listed at 25 AED extra, but at hotel spas it can be 50-75 AED. Worth checking before you commit.

Deposit for nail extensions. Full set extensions (150-300 AED) often require a 50% deposit at booking — non-refundable if you no-show. This is industry standard, not a scam, but check the policy.

Saturday and event-night premium. Some Marina and Downtown salons add 15-20% on Friday-Saturday evenings without flagging it. Ask if the menu price applies to your specific slot.

Repair surcharge. If you come in for a repair (one broken extension), the price is usually 25-50 AED per nail at most salons. Not a flat 25 AED for the whole hand.

Master selection fee. At three of the largest Dubai chains, requesting a specific senior master adds 20-50 AED to the bill. Walk-in to the first available technician is the menu price.

We don’t apply any of the above at Matryoshka — menu price is what you pay, evening or weekend, regardless of master. The only paid extra is intricate nail design (cat eye, 3D, chrome) at 25 AED per nail, listed on the menu.

How tourists should think about it

If you’re in Dubai for less than a week, the calculus is different from residents.

For a 2-3 day visit: skip gel and do a regular polish manicure (100 AED) at Tier 2. It will last your trip and the airport-to-airport transfer back without chipping. Total time at the salon: 45 minutes.

For a 5-7 day visit: book gelish manicure at Tier 2 the morning of your second day. It will last through every pool, beach, and dinner reservation through your departure. Budget 60-75 minutes.

For a 7+ day visit with hotel spa appetite: split it — Tier 2 gel manicure on day 2 (125 AED, holds the trip) and a Tier 4 hotel spa pedicure as an experience day (350-500 AED, includes robe and tea). The combination costs less than two full hotel spa visits and you get both the actual quality and the spa moment.

The single most common tourist mistake we see: booking the hotel spa for everything because it is convenient. The manicure quality at most hotel spas is fine but not better than a 125 AED street-level Russian salon — and you pay 3-4× for the same wear time. Spa once for the experience, mid-market for the actual care.
